Set the portion and shape first
For a portioned noodle product, record the dry cake weight and the dimensions that must fit the bowl, cup or foodservice pack. The current plain, spinach and buckwheat catalog references use 60 g portions. Exact dimensions still need to be confirmed for the selected product.
Test for your actual application
Follow the supplied cooking instructions and record water volume, cooking time, cooked yield, texture at service and texture after your intended hold. For stir-fry, test handling after draining; for soup or hot pot, test the actual broth and holding method. A sample should pass your application before you agree the repeat-order specification.
Compare commercial terms consistently
Separate product cost, inner pack, carton configuration, standard packaging MOQ, custom packaging MOQ, export handling and freight. Ask whether a mixed selection is possible and whether its minimum is measured in bags, cartons, pallets or total weight. Never compare figures without their units.
Keep an approved reference
Record the sample code, date, photos, preparation method and accepted specification. Agree what will be checked before dispatch, including breakage, pack seals, lot coding and carton condition. Retain the supplier-approved specification for repeat purchases.
Send the brief with your shortlist
Add the products to your inquiry list, then share your first-order estimate and destination. If you are still testing demand, say so. Sample charges, freight and timing are confirmed before a sample arrangement is agreed.
