Clear terms protect both sides. Here is exactly how payment, production, and cold chain delivery work when you order from J-ORIGIN Foods.
1. Payment Terms
As a food exporter handling frozen and temperature-sensitive products, we operate on a simple principle that protects product quality and both parties: all payments are completed before goods leave our facility.
Standard terms (bulk orders)
- 30% deposit upon order confirmation — production and sourcing begin immediately.
- 70% balance before shipment — payable once goods are ready and pre-loading inspection photos/videos are shared with you. Goods are loaded and shipped only after the balance is received.
Frozen & cold chain orders
100% payment prior to loading is required for all frozen and cold chain shipments. Frozen food cannot be recalled or resold once in transit, so full settlement before loading is a strict, non-negotiable policy. In return, we provide full pre-shipment verification: loading photos, temperature-logger placement, and container seal records.
Sample orders
Samples are prepaid in full (product + courier cost). Sample fees are deductible from your first bulk order.

2. Production & Lead Time
- In-stock items: ship within 7–10 days after balance payment.
- Standard production orders: 15–20 days from deposit to readiness for shipment.
- OEM / private label orders: 20–30 days depending on packaging and label approval.
Mixed-category orders (hot pot base, dim sum, sauces, ready-to-cook meals) are consolidated at our partner cold storage hubs in Shanghai or Guangzhou/Shenzhen, so one container can carry your full product range.
3. Shipping & Trade Terms
We support the following Incoterms, so you can choose the level of service that fits your import capability:

DDP availability depends on destination country. Currently well-supported lanes include Southeast Asia, with additional lanes quoted case by case.
Cold chain guarantee
Frozen goods ship in reefer containers at −18 °C with temperature loggers on request. We work only with audited cold chain forwarders, and every shipment includes export health certificates and the documentation required by your destination market (FDA, CFIA, EU approved-establishment, Halal where applicable).
